5. Pride Run ATL 5K (Midtown, June) Founded in 1991, Front Runners Atlanta created the first LGBTQIA+ run in the Southeast to support those affected by HIV. Originally the Gay and Lesbian Pride Day Run, it became Atlanta Pride Run in 2002 and Pride Run ATL in 2024.
4. Virginia-Highland Summerfest 5K (Midtown, June) The Summerfest 5K is a local favorite going on 30+ years. The route winds through the beautiful Vi-Hi neighborhood.
3. Decatur Dekalb 4 Miler (Decatur, July) The Decatur Dekalb 4 Miler is Atlanta Track Club’s oldest race starting in 1967.
2. Vinings Downhill 5K Run for the Kids (Vinings, August) The Vinings Downhill race is unique in that it offers participants a choice of a hat or a t-shirt. This is a point-to-point race that is mostly downhill in August.
1. Peachtree Road Race (Buckhead to Midtown, July) Largest 10K in the world capped at 60,000 participants, held annually on the 4th of July. Point to Point race starting from Lenox Mall in Buckhead and ending in Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta.
